Please Note: This workshop is available exclusively to those who have completed Part 1 of our NHS-recognised Practitioner License in Person-Centred Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD) training or fully qualified PCE-CfD practitioners*
This CPD training for PCE-CFD practitioners will provide an opportunity for participants to focus on the nature and quality of their professional self-care. Themes that will be addressed and explored are:
· The phenomenon of self-forgetfulness in relation to counsellor self-care.
· The roots that feed your frame of reference about your self-care.
· The organisational context in which you are working – how rich is your soil?
· Aspects of person-centred theory that can inform your approach to self-care.
· The purpose and role of supervision as a space for supporting counsellor self-care.
While there will be reference to Rogerian and more contemporary person-centred thinking, the day will be largely experiential in nature.
*Our Practitioner License in PCE-CfD enhances career prospects by licensing experienced counsellors in this evidence-based, NICE recommended modality, aligning practice with the research-based competence framework for beneficial outcomes.
