This workshop will explore how mental health issues may present during assessments. It will introduce the structure and approach to formal clinical diagnosis using DSM-5 and ICD-10, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of these diagnostic systems.

Assessments in Private Practice (2-Days, In-Person)

This workshop will provide a comprehensive framework and rationale for structuring clinical assessments in private practice. Participants will learn about various forms of assessment, essential topics to cover during an assessment, the application of questionnaires, and how to interpret the outcomes. Additionally, the workshop will delve into the complexities of assessment, including risk evaluation and the necessary support structures for managing clients in private practice.

A Neuroscience Perspective (PCE-CfD CPD Workshop)

This experiential workshop explores how the therapeutic relationship, rooted in empathy, congruence and unconditional positive regard, literally reshapes the brain. Drawing on neuroplasticity, polyvagal theory, mirror neurons and the default mode network, we will trace how emotional safety and attunement support integration and healing.
