Workshop Overview
This workshop will explore how mental health issues may present during assessments. It will introduce the structure and approach to formal clinical diagnosis using DSM-5 and ICD-10, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of these diagnostic systems. Participants will learn about using the therapeutic relationship and transference in diagnosis and will cover various types of diagnoses, including psychosis and considerations under the Mental Health Act. Additionally, the workshop will address different forms of medication and their implications during an assessment.

- A Foundation Certificate in Clinical Assessment is available for those who attend both our “Conducting Clinical Assessments in Private Practice” and our “Mental Health Issues in Clinical Workshop” workshops and complete a 2000-word essay. - Registrants must have at least 80 supervised clinical hours to attend these workshops
