The Metanoia Counselling and Psychotherapy Service (MCPS) is a low-cost counselling and psychotherapy service offering online and face-to-face sessions.
Metanoia membership connects you to a professional community of practitioners, supporting your development throughout your training and beyond. Whether you are a current student, graduate, tutor, or supervisor, membership offers practical benefits, professional recognition, and ongoing access to resources.
Metanoia Institute offers two types of membership for students, graduates, tutors and supervisors: Full Membership and Affiliate Membership.
Members will enjoy to a range of benefits, including discount on CPD events and access to the Metanoia Online Library Catalogue.

Full Membership
Full membership is open to current students, graduates, tutors on Metanoia training programmes, and supervisors of Metanoia students.
It is also a requirement for graduates who wish to register with UKCP, forming an important part of your professional pathway.
There is no cost for current students or Metanoia staff, and membership is free for your first year after graduation. After this, an annual fee of £120 is payable each September via our secure online payment portal.
As a full member, you benefit from:
- Reduced rates for CPD events and conferences
- Access to the Metanoia Online Library Catalogue, both in person and online
- A dedicated Metanoia email account
- Administrative support with UKCP annual CPD returns and five-year reaccreditation
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate membership is designed for Metanoia graduates who do not wish to register with UKCP but would still like to remain connected to the Metanoia community.
The annual fee is £60, payable each September via our secure online payment portal.
Affiliate members receive many of the same benefits, including:
- Discounted access to CPD events and conferences
- Access to the Metanoia Online Library Catalogue, in person and online
- A Metanoia email account
