This International Men’s Day, we reflect on men’s mental health – and the work still needed to make support accessible, relatable, and free from stigma.
Many men continue to struggle to ask for help or to find a therapist they can identify with. As a sector, we must confront this reality and ask how we can make therapy more open, representative, and responsive to men’s experiences.
At Metanoia Institute, our vision is to break down barriers in therapy education, encouraging more men to train as therapists and helping to build a workforce that reflects the diversity of society. Through inclusive entry routes, scholarships, and a learning environment that values every voice, we want to make therapy training a path open to all.
Change happens when more men feel empowered to talk, to listen, and to support one another. As we look ahead, we will continue working towards a future where mental health support feels accessible, inclusive, and human for everyone.
