I am a BACP accredited integrative counsellor and trauma-informed therapist with experience of clinical practice in various sectors,
including higher education, low-cost and charity organisations, and private practice. I completed my studies in Humanistic Integrative Counselling from CPPD, London, and my supervision training with CSTD, London.
Whilst heavily influenced by Psychodynamic theories, my approach to psychotherapy is relational. I also completed training in working
with Complex Trauma, Internal Family Systems, Polyvagal Theory and Neuroscience of Attachment.
Currently, I manage a private practice in London working with adults on issues of relational trauma, shame, self-esteem and identity. In
my past role of associate counsellor at Royal School of Drama, I worked with home and international students in performance arts,
delivering brief therapy with a focus on managing performance anxiety, perfectionism, body image and eating issues, transitions
and group dynamics.
Subsequent to my counselling training, I was a lecturer in higher education across different countries for 14 years. My lecturing
career helped me gain a deeper understanding of diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds. I am committed to promoting cultural sensitivity and creating a welcoming and safe environment. Having a Masters Degree in Creative Writing, I am passionate about the therapeutic value of writing. In the past, I volunteered to lead creative writing workshops for underprivileged children, having learned about the value of empowering individuals by facilitating a means for their voices to be heard. In both my teaching and counselling roles, I have come to realise the importance of individuals to feel supported and accepted within themselves and their environments in order to actualise their potential
