Dr. Marianne Ellwood is a UKCP-registered psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and educator with over 20 years of experience in Transactional Analysis (TA). She trained in both the Classical and Relational schools of TA and holds a Doctorate in Psychotherapy focusing on co-created dynamics in therapeutic relationships. Marianne is particularly passionate about integrating TA with contemporary relational approaches and has published widely on the therapeutic alliance, shame, and developmental trauma. Her teaching style combines academic rigour with an emphasis on reflective practice and emotional presence. She has worked extensively in private practice, the NHS, and academic settings, and currently leads modules on clinical skills, relational theory, and group dynamics. Marianne is also an accredited TA trainer and supervisor (PTSTA), and she serves on the editorial board of the Transactional Analysis Journal.
